~General:

Treat everyone with respect. This goes for the staff, members, and even the guests who hang around.
Two real life weeks is a season here at Broken Shadow Valley.
Power playing and god modding are strongly prohibited. You will be warned the first time. Second time you will be suspended for a week. Third time you will be banned from the site. If you don't know what these mean, you may ask any of the members or staff for a thorough definition or examples.
No stealing other peoples photos or artistic works without permission. You will be warned, then banned.

~Characters:

All wolves age ONE year in the springtime.
You may have a mixed wolf. But they may NOT be half dog half wolf. For example: Timber x Arctic Wolf is allowed where Timber wolf x Husky is not.
Because we are a realistic wolf role-play, a wolf can only live to be around 13-15, no older.
You may only play one royal wolf (alpha, beta, delta, medicine wolf) at a time. This keeps it fair to new members.

~Posting:

We do allow liquid time.
There is a word count of 150 words here. If you do not meet the word count, you will be warned at first, suspended for a week second, and banned at third. The secret word is 'howling at the full moon'
We ask that you stick with a posting order. It is much easier this way. If a person is gone for more than 3 days, you may post and use minor movements for that character.
No chat speak in posts such as 'lol' 'omg', ect.

~The Packs:

Wolves must be at least 3 years old and have mentored at least one apprentice to become Alpha/Alphess.
Wolves can be stolen from their packs if they venture into the rival packs territory. For example if a spy is caught by a superior of the other pack, they may take that wolf prisoner. A wolf can also choose to leave its pack to become a rogue, or join the rival pack if they have the Alpha's permission.
Superiors will lose their ranks if they fall unactive.
A wolf can challenge the Alpha/Alphess for position if they like. If Alpha/Alphess wins, the opponent is banished from the pack, if the opponent wins, the former Alpha/Alphess can leave, or take on the omega rank.

~Breeding:

Breeding is done in the spring only.
If you wish to mate, please make sure that both players agree.
Admins will decide how many pups, appearances, and genders. You may pick the names.
Pups age the first spring after they are born.
